This painting, originally about 5" by 2", was found in the Cresson family bible, where it had evidently been used as a bookmark (note the hole in the upper left corner for a ribbon or tassel).

Two things of interest -- first, a schooner has the taller mast in back, not to the fore, so this painting may have been done at least partly from memory.

Secondly, a friend who lives on the Isle of Wight confirmed the location shown here and gave me a photograph of the site as it looks today, shown below.
